Celebrate Success & Awards Evening 12 March 2008
A packed Greenock Arts Guild Theatre saw a total of 218 Awards being presented to Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts and Network Scouts, all members of Scouting in Greenock District. In addition, a number of Adult Awards and Presentations were made to various Scout Leaders.
The success of the past year was recorded by Presentations relating to:-
2007 World Jamboree, Carrie Gibson - her Everest Conquest, Scottish Gang Show and the Centenary Camp.
The Awards were were presented by various invited guests including:-
Depute Lord Lieutenant - Mrs Majory Baird, Provost McCormick, Former Provest Rebecci, Assistant Chief Commissioner - John Hawthorn, Area Commissioner - Ian Trushell, Div. Commissioner Girl Guides Mrs Christine McLachlan and Immediate Past President Provincial Grand Master, Provincial Grand Lodge of Renfrewshire West - Mr Alex Galbraith.
