2008 – Beaver Day
This years Beaver Day was held at Everton Scout Camp on Sunday 15th June. Over 300 Beavers, Leaders and Parents enjoyed a fantastic day. For many, it was their first Everton Experience
Over £500 collected since Christmas by the Beaver Scout Colonies was handed over to Mary Moran, volunteer worker for Mary’s Meals. Mary explained to the Beaver Scouts and their leaders “Mary’s Meals is a charity which helps with the health and education of children mainly in Africa – at present mainly in Malawi. Mary’s Meals concentrates its activities on providing meals to young people and the money raised by you will provide a meal a day for 100 children for a whole year. Thanks to you all for raising this money.”
