Shirley.jpgWelcome to the Greenock & District Adult Training Page. My name is Shirley Cairney ADC, for Adult Training here in Greenock. I work as part of the Scotland West Region Adult Support Team and along with Carol McCallum & Kenny Paton (training advisers). We are responsible for ensuring that all Adult Leaders receive an extensive and comprehensive training programme that is recognised by the open college network. This is a modular programme and is completed after the validation of 12 modules. We in Greenock have combined 12 modules from that of 19 to ensure that you complete your training from the point of appointment as an Adult Leader.

The training offered will equip you to provide a balanced programme, to young people and will teach you a range of new skills to suit the section you have become involved in, such as Beavers, Cubs, Scouts or Explorers.

140px-Scout_woodbadge_beads.jpgOn completion & validation of your training you will receive your Wood Badge, which is a prestigious award that is held in high esteem within the Scouting organisation.

We offer flexible learning to people in recognition that people have busy lives:

Training starts from your appointment and we run Saturday morning workshops from 10am until 12 noon at our HQ in Finnart Street should you wish any further advice or support.

Please contact moc.liamgnull@yenriac.yelrihs or call on 529068.

We the training team are looking forward to working with you.
