Beaver’s ‘District Good Turn’

The Beavers have decided that a Duck Race should be held at the Centenary Camp. This would be used as a fundraiser for their District Good Turn.

On the afternoon of Saturday 26 June, fifty plastic Ducks, with a number underneath, sailed down the burn that meanders through Ardgowan Estate. The first Duck to reach a designated point was the winner.

Each colony was asked to obtain sponsors for all fifty Ducks at £1.00 each (£50.00 per Colony). The colonies will each get the opportunity to name five of the Ducks. Every Colony would have a prize winner with the balance of the monies going to the Good Turn Fund.

The winner was No 34 – Daniel Duck
